Learn How To Build Wood-Sided Garden Beds
Monday, May 8, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM
St. Paul Tool Library
Frogtown Farm and St. Paul Tool Library are co-hosting a FREE workshop where you can learn about building raised garden beds. Many gardeners find that raised garden beds allow for easier access while gardening and help avoid weed or soil issues that may exist in in-ground beds.
This is a drop in event with ongoing demonstrations. Power saw demonstrations are scheduled for 6:30pm, 7:00pm, and 7:30pm.
Workshop participants will:
See three different raised bed designs
Learn about construction options
Practice assembling a raised bed
Learn about lumber and hardware options, how to source materials, and what materials to avoid
Become familiar with the tools necessary to build their own raised beds
Take home printed instructions
The St. Paul Tool Library is located at 755 Prior Ave N, Suite #009, St. Paul, MN 55104. Enter the building from the water tower parking lot. Free parking is available and there is no cost to participate.
