Ananya Dance Theatre and Penumbra Theater with Frogtown Farm and Ua Si Creative invites you to join us on June 23rd from 3PM-5:30PM for a day of making!
Come join us in altar object and shaker making, elements we will use to activate University Avenue during the Confluence :: Flow event on June 26th from 11:30am-2:30pm
Workshops will include:
Leaf Altar Making inspired by Seitu Jones' Collard Leaves led by Laichee Yang, Artist of Ananya Dance Theatre
Shaker Instrument Making led by Maestro Douglas Ewart
Everything will be made from found and recycled materials!!! And we will provide all materials!
However, if there is something that you want to incorporate in your altar (must be biodegradable and non-toxic), please bring it with you.
We will be prepared for at least 30 participants, so some rsvps would be appreciated!
